 This is a picture of a cute little bat on our porch wall when we were having our porch remodeled. I happened to go look at the porch and see this bat. Well we couldn't do anything because of the wet cement on the porch floor so we just left him there. The bat actually stayed there still another day then he left. Quite a nice picture, it looks like you can see good detail of the little bats body. This wasn't the first time we had a bat hang out on the porch. There was another time there was one that was there further up the wall. We got a stick and put it by his bottom feet and it clung onto the stick and looked like it was still sleeping. We took it up into the wooded area by the house and we put the stick up in a tree and he grasped ahold of the tree and stayed there. As a little girl when we would be outside at night there would be bats flying in the dusk skies looking for their dinner. Lots of people are afraid of bats because they think they are coming in close for their hair but in reality they are coming in because their radar picked up some sort of insect and they are coming for it. Bats are mammals and they are the only mammal that is capable of true flying. When they give birth it's mostly to one pup. |
