There height is about 25 feet,and there spread is about 20 feet. The shape is bushy. They have large white and pink, cup-shaped flowers that appear in spring before the summer foliage. There deep green, summer foliage turns brown in the fall. The plant needs partial shade to full sun. They moisture can be wet, moist, or day. The soil type should be of a sandy or lam type soil The ph range is 3.5 to 7. These plants can be used for a specimen or for borders. Since there are different varieties of the magnolia tree and they are all quite pretty, so take a look at them you can find pictures on the Internet. There is also a yellow variety, quite pretty. If you ever had one or if your neighbors had one, you might recall that the flowers are quite beautiful but when we would get a hard rain, all those beautiful petals the next day would be on the ground and the ones that were left on the tree would not be there very longer.
