Garden Flowers

Here is a couple of garden flowers. There is a picture of Swans with marigolds in them. They came out quite beautiful looking this year. I do give them plant food every couple of weeks, and make sure they are watered if ground is dry. The orange and yellow colors make it so bright looking. These are a great plant to have in the garden. They brighten up the area so much. Once the flower is dead you should deadhead the flower, taking the dead flowers off, so the strength doesn't go into the making of seeds it will go back into the plant so the plant will make more flowers, they will keep blooming all through the summer if you keep them dead headed. They are an annual plant. They can withstand colder weather then a lot of annuals. Once the season is along and the cold will be setting in, you can actually let the flowers turn into seeds and when they have become seeds you can take them off the plants on a nice dry day, and put them in a dry place till next spring and you can plant the marigold seeds, instead of buying plants for your garden, they can be planted a lot earlier then some seeds, and they will grow for you another year from last years seeds.

Next is the rose bush in the garden, it is a climbing rose. As you can see the plant has grown quite big this year, and the trellis is leaning over from all the roses on it. It just weighted the trellis over, we put a stick in there to help hold the roses up. Next year we are going to make a different type of trellis that will ensure the roses won't topple it. Then the last picture is of a single rose on that same bush when it started to bloom, you can see the buds by the flower. This was the start of the 2nd picture you see of all the beautiful roses.

Summer is such a great season, you get to see all the beautiful flowers growing, and the smell of fresh cut grass, it's just a wonderful time of year.

The flowers are beautiful. Love the swan planters and the roses are especially stunning, trailing from top to bottom of that trellis.
