 Here are some picture of the Winterthur Country estate. It was a great trip. It's a beautiful place to visit. It is a country estate in the heart of the Delaware's beautiful Brandywine Valley. Winterthur has many things to offer such as exhibitions, tours, and programs for all ages. The museum has a collection of American antiques that are the best in style and craftsmanship. Take a stroll through the 60-acre garden and surrounding landscape of woodlands, and the waterways, and the rolling meadows, They also have a nationally renowned research library that is a center for the study of American art and material culture. It's a wonderful place to just stroll and enjoy the great outdoors. In later pictures you will see some pictures of the enchanted woods, it is the fairy-tale garden for children of all ages. The first picture is a sign of the Winterthur Visitor Center. The next two pictures are of the woods through the estate while riding on a tram. Beautiful natural wood lands. The last picture is of a bench that they have all around the trails of the estate to take a restful break if you need one, or just to sit and look at the scenery for awhile. This was a very beautiful day for this trip through the country estate. All the natural woods and flowers. They have planted many many bulbs for spring blooming. They have an azalea woods garden. Which wasn't in bloom at this time. Some flowers are blooming in the summer but not a whole lot. These are plants that do good in this particular area and not a lot needs to be done for the upkeep, except some pruning by the trails the tram takes and some other trimming from time to time.
