 Well 3 more days till Halloween. The houses are all decorated around us including ours. Where we live I found out one year ago today we had 12 inches of snow. No snow today that's good, we did have rain though. October is fun, we've been watching scary movies this month and getting ready for Halloween night. It's fun to see all the decorations all around. The kids have a blast going out Halloween night in the town here. Going from door to door that have the lights on for them, to let them know they are participating in giving out goodies. The smaller kids look really nice, spooky, sweet, they have all kinds of looks, the older kids some of them are really dressed up great too, some just come and just say trick or treat to get some candy. I remember years ago when my son was in cub scouts and they had a Halloween party, I had taken him and the parents got to stay there for the party. It was fun, I don't remember everything that went on, but I do remember the apple bobbing the kids did, they had the chance to bob for apples, I don't know who got apples anymore, I do know a couple kids got an apple, I do remember they were all soaking wet, it was a lot of fun watching them. At that time there wasn't a thought to bring a camera, I'm sorry I wasn't thinking back then, it would have been fun to have pictures of these kids bobbing for their apples. |
