About a week away from Thanksgiving, and I will be getting ready for the Thanksgiving day feast and decorating tomorrow. Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday, some years it is cold outside and starts you thinking about Christmas, this year so far although the weather has been on and off cold, this week it has been warm. It's a wonderful time of the year to reflect on all the things you are thankful for.

Not only will I start preparing some food items ahead of time, but I will be getting the menu all straight to see what all will be served. The kids are coming over that day, not sure how many of them will make it but it will be nice to see the ones that can make it. I know some won't be able to make it because of the distance they live.

I am thinking of getting some of my knickknacks out to decorate with, I have turkeys that I usually arrange with some kind of fall flowers in them, I'm thinking of doing something different this holiday, instead of flowers, I'm thinking of putting some kind of a candle in one or two of them, maybe an orange one or brown one, or maybe even a gold candle. I have to see what is in the stores. I have little pilgrims to put on the buffet, and a scarf for the buffet table. Maybe a clear dish with a candle in it with ornaments all around the candle and what ever else you might want to place in the dish. I'm going to check out some stores since it's so close some stores may have discounts on things, I want to check for a tablecloth, for our dining room table.
