Michael Jackson died today Thursday June 25th in the early afternoon. He was 50. He will be remembered for his world famous, trademark dance moves and also for his chart topping records. His success peaked during the 1980's. Michael Jackson was born in Gary, IN. on Aug. 29, 1958. He was first the youngest of the Jackson Five. The charged 60's band was formed by his four older brothers. They were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon Jackson. After this he went on to become a solo artist. Michael's talent caught the attention of a producer named Quincy Jones. He cast Michael Jackson in the role of Scarecrow in 'The Wiz' in 1978. It was a musical which was based on the movie 'The Wizard of Oz'. The film also featured Diana Ross and Richard Pryor. Michael Jackson came back to Quincy Jones in 1982 with the brilliant album Thriller. The title track, along with “Beat It,” “The Girl is Mine,” and “Billie Jean,” this would make him an icon of pop culture. You could see how different Michael was with his eccentric personality when he started with his one gloved hand, which just thrust his eccentricity to continue onward. With all he went through in his life, he will remain the King of Pop. He is survived by his three children. |
